Two Wilmington activists who faced misdemeanors stemming from the George Floyd/Black Lives Matter protests in 2020 have been found not guilty of multiple charges. New Hanover County District Court Judge Russell Davis found Marion Timothy Joyner and Joshua Gordon Zieseniss — who helped found the community group known as “the lowercase leaders” in the wake of protests last year — not guilty of all charges at the conclusion of a trial on Oct. 5.
Joyner had faced three charges of injury to real property, one charge of second-degree trespassing and one charge of injury to real property. John Deere Shoes Max Soul Sneaker. Zieseniss had faced two charges of injury to personal property; one charge of injury to real property; one charge of second-degree trespassing; and one charge of driving on a closed or unopened highway. It’s the second time this year Joyner has been found not guilty of charges brought against him. In May, Davis found Joyner not guilty of vandalizing a fence in front of Wilmington City Hall.
